The Management Board and the Trade Union of PJSC “Azovmash” pay great attention to support the women at the enterprise, and the reason for it is that almost half of the enterprise’s employees are women. Their interests are protected by the Council of Women of PJSC “Azovmash” established in 1958. The Council of Women of PJSC “Azovmash” is a non-governmental public organization which unites the women from all the structural subdivisions of the enterprise.

At the present day the Council of Women of PJSC “Azovmash” numbers over 9 thousand women, it consists of over 105 primary women’s organizations.

Irina Nikolayevna Moskalik has been elected the Chairwoman of the Council of Women of PJSC “Azovmash”, her deputies are: Lyubov Stepanovna Gibert, Valentina Grigoryevna Ivanova, Galina Ivanovna Petrusevich. The presidium of the Council of Women which consists of volunteers, activists and representatives of all the structural subdivisions runs the activity of the women’s organization.

Activity of the Council of Women is developed in different directions, such as: social protection of all women working at the enterprise, defending the effective laws, programs and orders, protection of motherhood and childhood, solutions of issue of concerns of large and problem families, patronage assistance for orphan homes, children's communities and destitute children, assistance in children enrolment into the children’s preschool institutions, lecturing with participation of doctors, psychologists, cosmetologists and specialists of the centre of social services for children, families and young people.

The special attention is paid to the families with many children. Therefore over a number of years on the initiative of the Council of Women on the occasion of Mother’s Day the large families with many children are presented the financial assistance and valuable gifts. There are over 80 mothers of many children at the enterprise, they are brining up 360 children.

One of the main directions of the activity of the Council of Women is patronage over children’s communities and orphan homes. PJSC “Azovmash” has taken under his patronage 3 classes in the children’s community №2, orphan home “Solnyshko” and Centre of guardianship. The women of the enterprise give the part of their souls to 250 lack-all and orphaned kiddies. The women working at PJSC “Azovmash” take maternal care of orphans need mothering and warmth: they present sweet gifts for the holidays, stationary materials for the new academic year, purchase children’s wear, perform the cultural events and organize exciting trips to the Dokuchayevsk zoo, St. Nicholas Church, Donetsk circus and dolphinarium.

The women take active part in the professional skill competitions: “Best female turner”, “Best female crane operator”, “Best female electric welder”.

The work of the factory literary club “Lyra” is supported by the Council of Women. The women of PJSC “Azovmash” constantly carried out voluntary Saturday works on improvements of areas of the children recreation centre “Kosmos” and orphan home “Solnyshko”.

Over a number of years the charity events “A good deed is never lost” organized to collect wear, footwear, books, toys for poor children and “Save child’s life” organized to collect money to provide charity support for children with oncological diseases are conducted.
